TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT
Roles & Responsibilities
Role:
1. Overseeing the technical operations of the in-charged tankers.
2. Manage daily maintenance and repair activities, budget survey schedules, and docking operations.
3. Maintain updated records of class status and coordinate with Classification Societies, Suppliers, and Contractors for daily operations.
4. Ensure adherence to statutory requirements under ISM, ISPS, and MLC.
5. Monitor, coordinate, and attend vessel inspections by oil majors, statutory surveys, and follow up on related matters.
6. Carry out onboard technical inspection and prepare the technical inspection report.
7. Assist safety department to Conduct and report on incident/accident investigations.
8. Carry out the additional task assigned by technical manager.
Requirements:
1. Sea-going experience as a Chief Engineer on tanker vessel, shore experience as technical superintendent will be more preferred.
2. Holding valid COC (Class 1).
3. Strong organizational skills with a hands-on approach to technical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
4. Independent, resourceful, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
5. Willingness and ability to travel for overseas on short notice as needed.
