construction manager
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project, which includes manpower planning, construction progress monitoring, preparation of master schedule and cost control
Plan lead and monitor progress and performance against the project plan
Liaise with clients, subcontractors and authorities in resolving site issues
Supervising, managing workers and problem solving to meet deadline
Material purchasing and monitoring build costs
Take actions to deal with the results of delay, bad weather or emergencies at construction site
Effectively applies safe and economical methodology enforces project standards
Review and check tender documents before evaluating and awarding tenders and quotations for construction works and services
Work closely with the project team on contract administration including but not limited to contract documentation, progress payments, management of variation works etc
Ensure organization procurement policies are in alignment with public sector procurement framework
Responsible for project procurement and contracts management e.g. budgeting and cost control
Visit client sites and meet with business partners
Ensure project is kept within budget by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budget, scheduling expenditures, assessing change requests and initiate any corrective actions
Oversee and manage main contract progress claim and subcontract payment including variation claim
Any other relevant duties as required
