Responsibilities:
- Plan and perform tasks related to facilities, upgrading and repairing machinery and equipment.
- Contact outside vendors for specialized repairs or new components. Review quotes and make recommendations for cost effective services. Interface with vendors on major overhaul services.
- Conduct basic maintenance training on machinery and equipment for end users.
- Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery used in production department. Change oil, check electrical connections, change belts, filter systems, etc. Maintain updated records of repairs and completed preventative maintenance work.
- Identify and purchase critical spares for preventive maintenance.
- Identify probable causes of potential failure of machinery & equipment and arrange for preventive repair and replacement to minimize machine downtime.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in maintenance work area and stores.
- Review cleaning logs to ensure the facilities are cleaned on schedule.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Ensure Compliance of in-house safety rules and procedures by all vendors.
- Supervise contractors performing maintenance jobs.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering for related discipline.
- At least 5 years working experience & knowledge in maintenance and repair works in the manufacturing environment.
- Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) - Basic/Standard Licence (Grade 7).
- Facilities knowledge in eg. Fire safety system and waste water system (Chemical Line).
- Experience in troubleshooting of electrical issues.
- Working knowledge of CNC machines and equipment.
- Highly motivated and able to work in a team and in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal employees and outside vendors.
- Good awareness of Health, Safety and Environment and a safety mindset.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and troubleshooting skill.
- Good written and verbal communication skill.
- Able to standby rotating shifts, 24/7 and work beyond normal office hour/ Weekends/PH if required.
