The programme' s focus is on public health and clinical service innovation in an increasingly complex and connected world.The selected candidate will join a research project and assist the Principal Investigator with the qualitative research component. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Conduct fieldwork and qualitative research activities, including developing interview guides, scheduling and conducting interviews, and transcribing and analysing qualitative data.
  • Support research activities, including managing project documentation, preparing reports and manuscripts, and coordinating with external agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with study protocols and adherence to the project timeline.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Public Health, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, or a field relevant to health services research.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Malay is required to conduct fieldwork activities.
  • At least 1 year of qualitative research experience (e.g., evaluation research, participatory action research, ethnographic research), demonstrating the candidate's ability to conduct fieldwork in local settings with people from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrates strong ethical considerations, sensitivities and competencies in working with older adults and/or vulnerable populations.
  • Possess strong interpersonal communications skills, with the ability to interact comfortably with older adults.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting software (e.g. Zoom, Teams).
  • Experience with NVivo or other equivalent qualitative data software.
  • A highly motivated team player who is able to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team.
