Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Technical Specialist located in singapore. The Commercial Technical Specialist will provide technical expertise and support to the commercial team, ensuring that all construction projects align with the company's strategic and commercial goals. This role will bridge the gap between technical requirements and commercial objectives, supporting project bids, client negotiations, and solution proposals.

This position is open to Singaporeans and Singapore PR only.

Responsibilities

Technical Support:

  • Provide specialized technical support on steel sheet piling systems, foundation engineering, and ground retention solutions during tendering, client consultations, and project bidding processes.
  • Ensure that all technical solutions and product applications align with the client’s needs and project specifications.
  • Review project plans and technical documents, offering insights on the correct application of sheet piling solutions for various ground conditions and project requirements.

Product Application & Optimization:

  • Work closely with engineers to identify and recommend the best sheet piling systems or combinations (e.g., hot-rolled, cold-formed) for project requirements.
  • Optimize product use to ensure cost efficiency and structural stability while adhering to project timelines and budgets.

Client & Stakeholder Interaction:

  • Act as a technical liaison with clients, contractors, and design teams, providing in-depth technical advice on sheet piling applications, structural designs, and engineering specifications.
  • Assist the commercial team in preparing detailed technical presentations, proposals, and bids, particularly in relation to foundation solutions and retaining wall systems.
  • Provide technical input during project negotiations to ensure the best commercial outcomes while maintaining product integrity.

Cost Estimation & Project Feasibility:

  • Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for steel materials, sheet piling solutions, and related equipment based on project specifications.
  • Support the commercial team in pricing strategies by analyzing technical needs and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

Project Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Assess technical risks in sheet piling and foundation projects, recommending solutions to mitigate potential issues like ground movement, corrosion, or incorrect installation.
  • Ensure all technical solutions comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

Product Development & Innovation:

  • Stay updated with advancements in steel piling technology, ground retention solutions, and construction materials to provide input on new product developments.
  • Collaborate with the technical and R&D teams to refine existing products and develop innovative solutions based on market demand and client needs

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, sales, and project management, to ensure technical solutions are viable and meet both commercial and engineering objectives.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers, contractors, and consulting engineers to ensure smooth implementation of sheet piling systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or other relevant degree.
