The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow in Assistant Professor CHEN Lin's group. The group focuses on developing and applying innovative bacteriophage-based strategies to combat multi-drug-resistant (MDR) pathogen infections.

The Research Fellow will play a significant role in either the molecular engineering of bacteriophages for enhanced antimicrobial efficacy and host range expansion, or the development of phage-based delivery materials and antimicrobial coatings. This position offers opportunities for collaborative research, scientific publications, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct an independent research project and collaborate with other researchers.
  • Supervise junior lab members, including PhD students and undergraduate interns.
  • Manage and maintain research data, including safety management and lab material logs.
  • Present research findings at lab meetings and national/international conferences.

Job Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Strong background in molecular biology techniques, bacteriophage biology, or food hydrocolloids and packaging technologies.
  • Experience in laboratory research, molecular studies, antimicrobial materials development, or polymer chemistry.
  • Proven track record of scientific publications and the ability to work independently.
  • Productive, hard-working, and dedicated to completing assigned tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a collaborative team player mindset.
