Project: Our Client’s FPSO project involves the engineering, procurement, and construction of a new-build FPSO, including new hull construction and combined cycle technology.

Organization: The Execution Planning Advisor position will be located in Singapore, directly reporting to the FPSO Business Lead.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Direct Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain Level 1 and Level 2 FPSO project schedules to assess realistic key achievement dates through FPSO acceptance, reflecting internal forecasts to support overall project decision-making.
  • Prepare schematic schedules for specific audiences to support project decision-making.
  • Coordinate and interface with various project stakeholders, including site and overall project planners, contractors, the Project Leadership Team, and third parties to timely identify execution issues and concerns and their impacts on the project's overall schedule.
  • Lead schedule recovery planning and provide key input to and steward contractor schedule incentive plans.
  • Issue executive weekly dashboards for the Project Management Team (PMT), including progress, manpower efficiency, productivity, skylines, etc.
  • Provide timely analysis of current trends, including identification of opportunities, challenges, proposed mitigations, and status/effectiveness of mitigations.
  • Assess contractor integrated schedules for usefulness, logic, level of detail, input sources, timing, lines of communication, and interfaces with other functional elements and consistency with the Project Plan.
  • Review contractor weekly/monthly reports for accuracy (including progress measurement and resources) and provide feedback corrections.
  • Strong support to contractor’s and subcontractor’s planning team to develop basis of schedules, methodologies, and benchmarks; work with contractors to address schedule and execution plan quality issues.
  • Test overall FPSO schedule health utilizing Acumen Fuse.
  • Plan and execute schedule risk analysis utilizing Acumen Risk Software.
  • Ensure integration of subcontractors’ schedules and progress measurement into the overall FPSO view.

Leadership Activities:

  • Provide overall FPSO schedule and progress measurement leadership and expertise, mentor others on key concepts.
  • Prepare and present clear and precise reports on key schedule-related topics to support management decisions.
  • Guide and provide direction to the company planning team; consolidate site schedule concerns/opportunities for escalation as needed.
  • Maintain regular contact and share lessons learned with the functional organization and other FPSO projects.
  • Steward contractor's planning organization with respect to schedule development, control, and progress measurement.
  • Review and, where appropriate, endorse schedule and progress baselines and forecasts prepared by the contractor; advise the contractor organization on recommended improvements.
  • Chair schedule reviews, execution what-if scenarios, and other related activities.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with more than 15 years’ experience, with strong proficiency in Primavera Enterprise, Course 102 Project Management Module and ability to use Acumen Risk Software.
  • Highly advantage if they have experience in Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA) and Software Schedule Risk Analysis Software V8.7.
  • Have served as a Senior or Lead Planner/Planning Engineer for at least the past 5 years in the Oil and Gas EPC or Operator sector.
  • Extensive experience in project planning and scheduling within the oil and gas industry, particularly in FPSO projects.
  • Have previously worked for Oil and Gas Operators will be highly advantageous.
  • Strong background in coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, project leadership teams, and third parties.
  • Proven track record in leading schedule recovery planning and providing key inputs to contractor schedule incentive plans.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining project schedules, preparing schematic schedules, and issuing executive dashboards.
  • Leadership skills in providing overall schedule and progress measurement expertise, mentoring others, and guiding the company planning team.
