The Role

As a Client Operations Associate, you will play a key role in managing portfolio transitions, account-related events, and operational servicing for APAC-based clients. This role requires close coordination with Client Management, Portfolio Operations, and other internal stakeholders to drive efficient execution and enhance the client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a central point of contact for portfolio events, including new account setups, custodian transitions, benchmark changes, market openings, and account terminations.
  • Liaise with internal teams and clients to document requirements, manage timelines, and ensure smooth execution of portfolio transitions.
  • Track and resolve operational issues, proactively addressing potential delays or complexities.
  • Oversee post-implementation activities, ensuring all aspects of the transition process are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage internal requests from portfolio managers and trading teams, coordinating market additions, new counterparties, and security approvals.
  • Conduct post-event reviews to drive continuous improvement in operational workflows.

Key Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in portfolio transitions, asset management, or custodial services. Experience in client reporting, portfolio valuations, or cash flow management is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex client interactions.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel; coding skills and familiarity with regulatory requirements are advantageous.
