Job Description
- Organisational / Operational Objectives
- Report directly to the Director, Medical Specialty Care to develop and implement product strategies, programs and plans to meet and exceed financial objectives.
- Provide product technical expertise to users / stakeholders and to work with the Field Sales to win tenders, work with stakeholders on policy etc.
- Work closely with OPC heads to create a calendar of campaigns and events and support its implementation.
- Continuously review market trends, market dynamics, pricing and positioning to maintain competitiveness and to anticipate future needs.
- Medical Specialty Care
- Conduct product pre-launch market survey and evaluation for the formulation of product, price and promotion strategies.
- Prepare and align new product launch plan with OPC heads and ensure its implementation.
- Organise product training to new entry sales personnel and refresher training for existing personnel.
- Participate as facilitator in BEST Program.
- Support Field Sales:
- Pre-sales product demonstration and education to users / stakeholders.
- Post-sales product in-services to users to ensure full utilization of product features.
- Regular visit to users to identify gaps in training and to keep up to-date of market trends.
- Build and maintain KOL relationship
- Worked with OPC head, Field Sales & Marcom to roll out promotional activities such as trade exhibition, workshops, webinars & in-services.
- Post market surveillance on user feedback, product issues and escalate them to Principals
- Collect market intelligence such as competitors’ information, new technologies and share with Field Sales.
- Provide Field Sales with brochures, show & tell samples, presentation slides and clinical papers that could assist in their promotion.
- Work with QARA to ensure products licenses are properly maintained.
- Ensure all records are archived according to QARA, finance and legal requirements for audit purposes. (e.g. training records, promotion activity records, consultation agreements, sponsorship letters, etc.)
- Candidates must possess at least a Degree in Nursing, Science, Biotechnology or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of working experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or equivalent field
- Experience as a clinical educator will be an advantage
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills (spoken & written), assertive in expressing ideas or opinions
- Have genuine interests in learning a wide range of products to attain comprehensive knowledge
- Able to travel outstation or overseas when required
- Possess own transport
- Independent worker & self-starter, positive attitude with strong sense of accountability
- Ability to assess, teach and guide users in training sessions and creative in delivery methodology
- Proactively identify and responds quickly to customer needs, constantly deliver on promises
- A positive team member, gives support to colleagues and able to establish network and rapport with colleagues to achieve results
- Good project management and event organising skills
- Ability to mentor entry level field personnel in product knowledge and basic medical knowledge
