Covering all operational aspects of the hotel including proper discipline in all departments to ensure all our guests are getting the best service at all times, the incumbent shall be responsible for:

  • Be aware at all times as to the condition of the house, particularly relating to the number of rooms available and occupied and ensure this information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Observing and directing associates on the following:

a) Allocating and processing of guest rooms

b) Meeting and escorting VIP guests

c) Providing general information and assistance to guests

  • To deputise for the Assistant Front Office Manager / Front Office Manager in his / her absence.
  • Monitor DM Log Books for special requests, instructions and information recorded and any action taken or to be taken.
  • Conduct room inspection with all VIP guests, ensuring that welcome fruit platter and welcome card are placed in the room prior to guest’s arrival.
  • Conduct daily show room inspection and ensure that showrooms are in good condition.
  • Perform pre-payment daily and email to Reservations after charging.
  • Liaise regularly with Housekeeping Department regarding all special requests, full house situations and general problem solving.
  • Handle all guest complaints effectively in a tactful, diplomatic and professional manner.
  • Perform End-of-Day Operations and ensure that all reports are disseminated accurately.
  • Purchase stock/inventory according to purchasing procedures and specifications while handling and storing stock according to stock control procedures, keeping within the Budget/Outlook.
  • Manage and maximize occupancy, revenue and average rate while maintaining high service standards via the upselling program within the department.
  • Ensure guest registration, checkout, and mail services are handled efficiently, promptly and courteously in accordance with the hotel’s policy and procedures.
  • Ensure all hotel credit checks are carried out accordingly.
  • Implement and maintain training systems to ensure that associates have the necessary framework and skills to perform their job efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OS&H) requirements within the workplace and be familiar with emergency procedures.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
