Assistant Director, Office of Strategic Planning

Overview

To develop impactful ideas and implementations of the science of learning/ teaching/ researching for Design AI innovation in SUTD and its wider ecosystem of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1) Understanding and contributing significantly to strengthen SUTD's pivot to be the world's first Design AI university and what it entails - this includes being involved in the Office's strategic planning core activities with internal (e.g. other divisions/pillars/clusters/centres) and external stakeholders (e.g. MOE, local, international partners).

2) Crafting evidence-based and research-grounded ideas and initiatives on Design AI Innovation testing, piloting, and implementation for PET, CET, Research, and even I&E, ensuring as much as possible that SUTD (students, researchers, faculty, and staff) reap first benefits from them.

3) Collaborating and designing AI prototypes and even solutions with internal and external stakeholders that articulate and advance the agenda for the above, to improve feedback loops and accelerate iteration cycles, thus constantly probing the possibilities of frontier AI.

4) Communicating and advocating findings and insights to internal and external stakeholders, to build up steady support and momentum within SUTD, in the wider ecosystem in Singapore, and even regionally/globally.

5) Translating what we do above to other institutions, schools, and workplaces where relevant, to establish SUTD's intellectual leadership and to extend SUTD's impact in the AU landscape and beyond.

6) Undertake any other related duties or projects requested by the SUTD Chief Strategy and Design AI Officer.
