QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automated testing, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. The role requires working with cross-functional teams to develop and execute automated test cases, scripts, and tools to ensure the quality of our products. Note: Priority will be given to Singaporeans & Singapore PR-holders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Java.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to identify and prioritize test cases
- Execute automated and manual tests to ensure quality, performance, and reliability of our products
- Report and track issues found during testing and ensure timely resolution
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
- Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and maintainability of the codebase
- Continuously improve the automation test suite and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in software quality assurance and automation testing.
- Strong knowledge on JAVA programming. Prior experience as a Java Developer will be an advantage.
- Proven experience in backend testing and automation using Java.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and REST Assured.
- Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Testing certifications (ISTQB) is a plus.
