Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team and support data centre projects. This role is ideal for fresh university graduates who have a foundational understanding of mechanical engineering and have completed at least one internship in a related field. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems in data centre environments, working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support:Assist with the planning and coordination of mechanical systems for data centre projects, ensuring alignment with design specifications and timelines.
- System Installation Oversight:Support the installation of HVAC, cooling systems, and other mechanical infrastructure, following guidance from senior engineers.
- Vendor and Contractor Coordination:Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to facilitate the smooth installation and integration of mechanical systems.
- Mechanical Systems Testing:Participate in tests and inspections on HVAC and cooling systems to ensure functionality and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting:Support senior engineers in identifying and resolving mechanical issues during installation or post-installation.
- Documentation:Help prepare and update project documentation, including technical reports, drawings, and schedules.
- Collaboration:Work closely with team members, including project managers and electrical engineers, to meet project goals and deliverables.
- Health and Safety Compliance:Assist in ensuring all activities follow local safety standards, codes, and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Internship Experience:Prior internship experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in a related industry.
- Foundational Knowledge:Basic understanding of HVAC, cooling systems, and mechanical infrastructure.
- Problem-Solving Skills:Willingness to learn and contribute to troubleshooting and solution-finding processes.
- Communication:Good communication skills for collaborating with contractors, vendors, and project teams.
