
Scientific Manager, Laboratory of Translational Cancer Biology (GIS)
The Director's Office at the Genome Institute of Singapore is recruiting a Scientific Manager. The candidate will support the Laboratory of RNA Genomics and Structure, and the Laboratory of Translational Cancer Biology to oversee the administration of scientific projects and programs.
Job duties and Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination - Develop and implement research project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and meeting deadlines.
Team Management - Manage a team of researchers, including scientists and lab technicians, to achieve research milestones and objectives.
Scientific Collaboration - Foster collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, including academia, industry, and government agencies, to advance research and innovation. This includes drafting of RCAs and technology disclosures.
Grant and Resource Management - Manage programmatic grant budgets and oversee the management of resources, including equipment and facilities.
Research Integrity and Compliance - Ensure that all research activities are conducted in accordance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
Reporting and Evaluation - Prepare and submit reports to stakeholders, including funders, government agencies, and institutional leaders.
Requirements:
- PhD in biomedical sciences or related fields.
- Experience in scientific research and project management.
- Excellent leadership skills, good operational abilities, and able to meet project deliverables, deadlines, and requirements from stakeholders.
- Experience in writing reports and grant applications.
- Ability to interact well and able to build strong positive relationships and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Team player and able to solve problems and deliver to internal and external stakeholders.
