Job Scope:
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer and Application Support Specialist with at least 13 years of specialized experience in complex ETL workflows, data integration, and reporting systems. This highly specialized role requires deep expertise in Informatica, SSIS, and SSRS for optimizing large-scale, mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will bring advanced troubleshooting and development skills to ensure flawless operation of the production environment and lead system performance optimization and service restoration activities.As a key subject matter expert, you will be directly responsible for complex incident management, providing immediate solutions and long-term improvements, and managing vendor relationships to troubleshoot third-party software. This role demands someone with excellent technical leadership and strategic thinking to drive operational excellence and business continuity.Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of complex, high-impact production incidents, offering second and third level troubleshooting with a focus on root cause analysis for highly specialized ETL and reporting applications.
  • Design and implement temporary workarounds to maintain business continuity during critical production incidents and ensure the immediate restoration of services.
  • Deliver permanent fixes for recurring application defects, collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve underlying issues.
  • Ensure high availability of the application, applying best practices to guarantee systems remain fully operational in alignment with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Spearhead the outage investigation and service restoration for production environments, facilitating technical discussions and driving resolution through both internal teams and third-party vendors.
  • Collaborate with third-party software vendors, performing patch management and advanced troubleshooting to resolve defects in integrated tools.
  • Lead application support for SSIS, SSRS, Informatica, and ETL systems, managing data pipelines and ensuring optimal data flow and integrity.
  • Monitor and maintain production systems, taking proactive steps in performance tuning, batch job optimization, and ETL efficiency improvements.
  • Enforce disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring seamless system recovery in the event of system failures or outages.
Job Qualifications:
Key Skills & Experience Required:
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 13+ years of specialized experience in application support with a focus on Informatica, ETL processes, SSIS, SSRS, and advanced data integration.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex production environments with mission-critical data workflows and reporting systems.
  • In-depth experience in advanced data manipulation, ETL process optimization, and report development using tools like SQL, Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, SSRS, and Crystal Reports.
  • Excellent knowledge of third-party software integration, with a focus on troubleshooting, patch management, and ensuring compatibility between internal and external systems.
  • Highly skilled in root cause analysis and incident management, with the ability to perform in-depth analysis to resolve complex issues affecting application functionality.
  • Expertise in performance tuning, including optimizing batch jobs, data load times, and system throughput for ETL-based applications.
  • Advanced understanding of business continuity, disaster recovery procedures, and production environment monitoring.
  • Experience in healthcare industry for supporting reports and other reporting tools.
Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with additional reporting and Business Intelligence (BI) systems beyond SSRS and Crystal Reports.
