Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the spray-painting section to ensure the highest service quality, executing all jobs in alignment with repair orders.
- Assess team capacity based on flat rate units, optimizing work bay utilization to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with the panel beater and mechanical foremen to maintain seamless workflow in accident repairs, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Update the workshop executive/manager on the availability of spray painters and monitor job progress according to agreed priorities.
- Verify that assessment and rectification work is performed accurately to address return jobs or customer feedback effectively.
- Promptly notify the MCA of additional repair requirements, assess capacity for execution, and secure necessary approvals.
- Coordinate with the parts department to source required parts through standard, urgent, or VOR orders to meet customer deadlines.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all work areas, ensuring staff adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Ensure the paint mixer maintains adequate inventory levels to support daily operations seamlessly.
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as a supervisor in automotive workshop or related environment.
- Experience in supervisory role in spray painting would be an advantage.
- Knowledge about insurance claims processes / procedures
- Skillful in preparation and spray painting of vehicles.
