Job Description:

This is a full time role for a Traffic Controller located in Changi. Our clients are in the Freight Forwarding Industry. The Traffic Controller plays a key role in managing and optimizing container transportation via land, ensuring timely deliveries through efficient route planning and effective communication with drivers and clients. This role involves coordinating trucking activities to meet customer requirements, monitoring truck and delivery statuses to optimize resources, and providing real-time updates in the system. Additionally, the Traffic Controller is responsible for coordinating consignments with Prime Mover Drivers and customers, verifying driver incentives, and addressing delays, breakdowns, or miscommunications to ensure smooth operations. They must also adhere to safety and health regulations and perform counseling for drivers when necessary, along with any other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Nitec in logistics, supply chain management, transportation or a related field preferred.
  • Min 1 year of experience in deployment of drivers for trucking/ loose cargo jobs.
  • Strong understanding of land transportation regulations, routes and logistical considerations in Singapore.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
