The Communications & Engagement Division (CED) ensures clear and effective communication of MCCY's initiatives, policies, and public education programmes. We engage the public, media and key partners through strategic messaging and integrated publicity campaigns across mass and digital platforms to enhance public awareness and support for our policies. CED also strengthens MCCY's brand and corporate image through events, publications, and key projects. Our responsibilities include managing media relations and executing national campaigns and public education initiatives. Our work strengthens community bonds, deepens shared understanding and foster a stronger sense of Singapore's identity as a diverse yet cohesive society - one that inspires belonging and shared purposes.What you will be working on:
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing corporate communication strategies to raise awareness, understanding and support of MCCY and its vision of building a caring, cohesive and confident nation • Develop/ carry out strategic communications plans which cohesively employ marketing, media and digital tools and platforms • Cultivate media relations, develop media/online materials and handle media enquiries • Analyse sensing data to assess effectiveness of communications plans and recommend adjustments where necessary • There may be opportunities to work on marketing campaigns to raise awareness of MCCY and its work/policies. • Provide staffing support to Political Office Holders for events • Assist with strategic communications advice to divisions
What we are looking for:
  • At least 3 years of work experience in communications or related fields • A team player, with strong interpersonal skills to cultivate network and relationships with stakeholders. • Experience in media relations and/or stakeholder engagement would be an advantage Competencies: (i) Media Analysis and Sensing: • Monitoring media activities and reports to assess potential ramifications and recommend suitable response • Use reports and data to anticipate attitudes, possible public reactions and media reporting angles. (ii) Communications Strategy: - Develop communications strategies and programmes to support agency leaders and policy-makers in achieving policy/agency/ national objective - Define audience profiles, determine framing and media to deliver messages to best cater to different audience segments through data analytics. (iii) Message Framing and Delivery: • Crafting and delivering of messages in a manner that is aligned to communications strategy and objectives while considering different target audiences • Evaluating effectiveness of message delivery through exploring different ways of delivery through appropriate media channels and visuals. (iv) Other Competencies: • Proficient in written and spoken English.
