- In-charge of HSE function of the assigned plant, drive for continuous improvement by implementing up-to-date standards to comply to local codes requirements.
- Implement Programs to comply to MOM, SCDF and NEA Requirements.
- Develop the essential HSE KPI for Operations and safety awareness programs to promote safety culture mindset.
- Conduct Investigation, RCA, Risk Assessments, Safety audits, System audits and improvement.
- Comply with Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, Code of Practice and Guidelines.
- Conduct incident/accident investigation process including root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Assist/Coordinate WHSE Safety Committee meeting and organize HSE Inspections.
- Evaluates /Update work methods, procedures and policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation of the HSE management system.
- Coordinate Safety Case (MHI) requirements and knowledge of ALARP, HAZID, HAZOP, Bow Tie analysis and human factor.
- Must be familiar with Local Code of Practice, SS 651, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management System.
- Coordinate /Assist /Conduct HSE, CERT and Emergency Response Training and relevant activities.
- Update the Emergency Response Plan and respond to HSE incidents and emergencies
- Co-ordination between suppliers/ contractors/ end users. Planning/ Scheduling contractors work regarding safety matters.
- Duties will vary according to the operational requirements of the department and/or the specific goals of the division.
- Appointed as the Workplace Safety and Health Officer of the plant
(Company transport available to/from selected locations islandwide.)Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree with at least 3-5 years relevant experience in the field of HSE.
- MOM registered Workplace Safety Officer.
- Knowledge and experience in chemical, gas handling, and bulk storage will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the following Standards: ISO14001, ISO45001, SS 651, QS9001, Safety Management System (MOM), HSE Policy, local legislation and guidelines.
- Knowledge of tools and methodologies like RCA, BBS, HAZID, HAZOP, Bow Tie etc.
- Knowledge and experience in facilities systems (like, Life safety System, Fire alarm System, Chemical and Gas System, etc.) will be advantageous
- Skills and abilities to perform job include: analytical communication, presentation skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, computer literacy, interpersonal skills, exercises mature judgment; ability to work in a team, as well as, ability to influence other people
