Our client is a Commodity Trading MNC with HQ in Japan, currently seeks a Freight Management Specialist to join their expanding team.
Reporting to the Freight Manager, the incumbent will be working in a team of 3 staffs. He / She will need to manage the full spectrum of freight operations such as chartering vessels for the transportation of dry bulk commodities, liaising with internal & external BAUs. The main duties will include overseeing all operational matters for the managed vessel, ensuring compliance with charter party agreements, voyage optimization, maximizing efficiency, minimizing cost, verifying shipping documents (B/L, LOI's, pre-stowage plan), handling claim, monitoring & analyzing vessel performance metric, and data entry for vessel's operation into the system.
Additionally, he / she will need to handle risk management which includes providing advice to Front Office in term of contract review & revisions to minimise group risk exposure.

Skills and Qualifications
- Min a Bachelor's degree in Maritime, logistics or a related field
- At least 3 year working experience in dry bulk freight management/ operations/ chartering work with excellent knowledge of the dry bulk shipping market
- Knowledge in international maritime regulations
- Working experience in voyage optimization software, or chartering systems (e.g., IMOS) a plus
- Experience in handling commodities such as coal, iron ore, bauxite, copper concentrate preferred.
