Job Description
The Senior Principal Engineer / Principal Engineer will lead the strategy, optimization, and management of Client's Microsoft 365 (M365) ecosystem .This role is critical in managing a large-scale, globally distributed user base, ensuring seamless operations to enhance productivity and collaboration across the organization.
M365 Administration and Management:
- Oversee and optimize the full lifecycle of the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other services.
- Develop and refine the M365 architecture to align with organizational goals and support a geographically diverse workforce.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies, retention strategies, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage identity and access control using Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), implementing MFA, conditional access policies, and role-based access control.
- Drive organizational adoption of M365 features through training, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed of emerging features and technologies in M365.
User and Service Management:
- Manage M365 operations for a large-scale user base.
- Resolve complex escalations related to M365 platform..
- Collaborate with support teams to deliver consistent performance and user satisfaction.
Requirements
At least 5 years or more experience in leading and managing M365. Experience with Google Workspace will be an added advantage.
Technical:
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale M365 environments.
- Experience with Google Workspace administration and integrations. .
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and reporting.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting on-premises Exchange environment.
Communication:
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Google Cloud Professional Collaboration Engineer (Advantage)
- ITIL Foundation or other IT service management certifications
