- Engage TE BUs to identify and address technical needs related to engineering plastics and rubbers.
- Develop a deep understanding of engineering plastics and rubbers through comprehensive reviews, experimental trials, and tech scouting.
- Lead partnership research activities related to characterization, formulation, and processing of plastics and rubbers, for connectors, sealants, cables and microfluidics (as needed).
- Author whitepapers, technology landscaping reports, and advisory documents to support TE's strategic objectives and technology development. Launch proof-of-concept projects as appropriate.

- Oversee internal project documentation and compliance matters, including contracts, budget tracking, and technical reporting.
- Represent SG team in various forums, including technical conferences (internal & external) and senior management presentations, to share knowledge and innovations in polymer engineering.
- Collaborate with other TE polymer centers of innovation to drive alignment of SG activities.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Polymer Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in R&D or product development, with a focus on engineering plastics and rubbers. Demonstrated expertise in material characterization, formulation, and processing.
- Proven experience in leading technical projects involving advanced polymers and rubbers in an industrial or corporate setting.
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies related to polymer engineering, such as material characterization techniques, formulation strategies, and processing technologies.
- Experience scouting technology state-of-art through literature, patent landscapes, or conferences
- Knowledge of engineering PjM (scope, deliverables mgmt.) and technical tools (e.g. moldflow, FA, RCA)
- Effective in verbal/written forms communication.
- Experience or certification with contract law will be advantageous.
- Goal-driven and comfortable working in technical management role.
- Technically curious with a broad interest in new and emerging technologies in the field of polymer engineering.
- Business-oriented, with the ability to interact effectively with other experts and management.
