Training Manager (Retail)
Our Client:
Our Client is a retail brand that originated in France. We seek a Training Manager to be responsible for identifying and assessing training needs within the organization. This role involves designing, planning, developing and implementing training programs, policies, and procedures to address these needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Training Framework & Compliance – Enhance training frameworks in collaboration with the Steering Committee, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards and industry best practices.
- Program Development & Delivery – Design, implement, and conduct in-house training programs, including staff induction, classroom, field, and online coaching, while regularly updating materials.
- Coaching & Performance Management – Guide the Training Coordinator to maintain accurate training records, certification validity, and overall staff development compliance.
- External Partnerships & Program Management – Identify and manage external training providers, oversee the Mystery Shopping Program, and refine training programs based on feedback and audit results.
- MS & ISO Certification Management – Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS), ensure efficient tracking of training progress, and maintain ISO 9001:2015 compliance through audits and documentation.
- Administrative & HR Support – Manage training calendars, budgets, grant applications, staff incentives, external workshop registrations, and support HR initiatives like employee engagement and corporate social responsibility.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 years in a training role, with proven experience in retail and F&B environments.
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) or Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP).
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training programs, particularly in customer service and sales skills.
- Ability to effectively engage with staff at all levels and work independently.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, organization and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English. Other languages an asset.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage assigned tasks efficiently.
