Morgan McKinley is seeking a skilled Security Analyst to join our client's Manufacturing Security Team and help to safeguard their proprietary and sensitive information This is for a 12- months contract role with a leading multinational social media company.
In this role, you will collaborate across departments to identify and address security vulnerabilities in manufacturing systems, cloud environments, networks, and line stations. Using monitoring and detection tools, you will analyze threats, recommend security improvements, and enhance our overall security posture.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with partners to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities that may pose risks.
- Implement fixes to maintain a high-security standard across systems and environments.
- Work closely with engineering teams responsible for building, scaling, deploying, and maintaining manufacturing infrastructure, applications, and data pipelines.
- Monitor, investigate, and analyze security alerts to determine root causes and mitigate risks.
- Conduct security audits and assessments for cloud and manufacturing environments.
- Support security-related operational requests and project implementations.
- Strengthen the security posture of manufacturing infrastructure across on-site, third-party, and cloud environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- With 5+ years of experience in AWS, cybersecurity, and Linux security.
- Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas in large-scale production environments:
- Security hardening and monitoring of Linux or Windows/AD systems, services, and applications.
- Configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud platforms.
- Experience with security tools such as MDE, Wazuh, Osquery, Wireshark, Zeek, and Suricata.
- • Solid understanding of:
- TCP/IP network fundamentals and common network services.
- Analyzing network and host security logs to detect and resolve security threats.
- Applied cryptography, including PKI, SSL, and key management.
- Experience conducting security audits and assessments for cloud and manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with endpoint security and vulnerability scanning tools like Qualys and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Experience in security alert investigation and root cause analysis.
- Preferred: GIAC or other relevant cybersecurity certifications.
