Legal Counsel - DCM
Job Description
Kerry Consulting is currently partnering very closely with a well established international bank to look for a legal counsel with debt capital markets expertise to join its APAC legal team. This is a great opportunity for lawyers from private practice to pivot into an in-house role with a highly dynamic and closely knitted team.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will report directly to the APAC General Counsel and be part of the global legal team for capital markets. You will partner very closely with the Debt Capital Markets team providing legal advice in relation to products such as Emerging Markets bond offerings in various currencies, High Yield Bonds etc across the APAC region. You will assist in reviewing and negotiating various transaction documents such as engagement letters, underwriting agreements, subscription agreements, legal opinions, comfort letters, and agreements among managers.
You will partner very closely with external legal counsel and managing such cross border transactions to ensure that it is align with the Bank's legal & regulatory standards.
Requirements
In order to be successful in this role, you should be a qualified lawyer ideally in a commonwealth jurisdiction, US or UK with minimum 5 years PQE and expertise in debt capital markets work. You should enjoy running transactions and has the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
