Job Description
Purpose of the role:
Ensure Customer Satisfaction in:
- Service provisioning (Transmission, Routers & Switches)
- Quality of service
Manage all Monitoring aspects of Network deployments.
Coordinate all post-sales matters triggered by internal and external customers.
Ensure continuous improvement of services offered to internal and external customers.
Supervise and oversee the operations/functionality of the engineering team.
Perform POC testing for network equipment.
Strategize planning for networks.
Manage network risks.
Major Responsibilities:
Plan,project manage, and implement network engineering projects.
Install and configure DWDM, switches, routers, and firewalls within core and access networks.
Proactively monitor core production network infrastructure and support systems to ensure continuous service delivery and optimal network performance.
Propose operational improvements involving workflow to management.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of engineering requirements for proper operations.
Ensure operational processes and procedures are ITSM compliant.
Ensure the smooth running of internal workflows.
Ensure correct execution of escalation procedures.
Manage the lifecycle of existing network equipment, including capacity planning,improvement, preventive maintenance, network migration, and decommissioning of equipment.
Follow proper change request processes to ensure high customer service uptime.
Draft and prepare Incident Reports and Reports for Outages in a timely manner.
Submit all reports, such as Monthly Reports, RFOs, and Incident Reports, in a timely manner.
Provide full support to NOC & engineers.
Ensure engineering meets all deliverables and SLA targets.
Manage IP addresses (IPv4 & IPv6).
Provide full support to the Product & Sales workgroup on all new network planning.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent applicable experience.
Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a related field.
Strong analytical skills and a flair for dealing with technical and operational problems.
Good interpersonal skills and fluent communication.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in an ISP environment is an advantage.
Demonstratedability to work independently and within teams.
Ability to work outside regular working hours when necessary.
Enthusiasm and drive to creatively evolve the network using unconventional methods.
Formal IT qualification Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a must. Candidates with CCNP/CCDP are highly preferred.
