  • Advise board members, local and central management, and Evonik legal team on a variety of legal matters in corporate and commercial law
  • Respond quickly and consistently to internal and external requests for advice
  • Manage and supervise external law firms
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies
  • Internal investigations for the Evonik locations in South East Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand) as well as in India, Japan and Korea.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Successfully completed law degree from a Singapore university
  • At least four years of professional experience either as lawyer in a reputable law firm, or as in-house lawyer within an industrial company
  • Proven background in Corporate and Commercial Law; knowledge of anti-trust laws is a plus
  • Conducting internal investigations
  • Fluent English language skills, written and spoken
  • Solution-focused work approach, high level of commitment as well as excellent communication and team skills
  • Negotiating skills, persuasiveness and assertiveness
  • Willingness to travel SEAANZ-wide (ca. 10%)
