PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.We invite applications for a Research Associate position in the Weibo Gao Lab at SPMS, NTU Singapore. The selected candidate will support research operations in the NTU Quantum Photonics Lab, ensuring efficient administrative and logistical management.Key Responsibilities:Project Coordination: Overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of research projects, ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives.Administrative Support: Managing day-to-day administrative tasks, scheduling meetings, coordinating events, and handling communications within the research group.Purchasing & Procurement: Handling the procurement of laboratory equipment, consumables, and services, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and budget constraints.Documentation & Reporting: Preparing and maintaining records of project activities, progress reports, and assisting in research paper and grant proposal preparation.Resource & Budget Management: Tracking project expenditures, ensuring optimal resource utilization, and assisting in budget planning.Liaison Duties: Acting as a bridge between the research team, external collaborators, and institutional administrative departments to facilitate smooth project execution.Job Requirements:A Master’s degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, or a relevant field from a recognized university/institution.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Strong communication and writing skills.Proactive, efficient, and responsive in managing tasks and responsibilities.The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences seeks a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to equality of opportunity.
