[What you will be working on]
Systems and Technologies:
- Collaborate with IT and users on the development and maintenance of multiple digital systems (e.g. requirement gathering, user acceptance testing, maintenance, user account administration, management of project timeline and budget).
- Be involved in the review and maintenance of systems documentation (e.g. Requirement Specifications, User Manual, Test Scripts)
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to facilitate the transfer and preservation of records
- Manage the department’s Intranet website (e.g. content updates, user design, issue rectification)
- Oversee a project for processing of digitised records for preservation
- Maintain and update various documentation (e.g. policies, guidelines, and specifications) related to digital recordkeeping and preservation
- Conduct research on new formats, technologies and trends in digital recordkeeping and preservation, and work on Proof of Concepts.
- Develop strategies and frameworks for transfer and preservation of complex digital records (e.g. emails, databases, BIM)
- Experiment with software and tools (e.g. SIARD, Bagger) and emerging technologies (e.g. scripting or Generative Artificial Intelligence) to improve work processes
- Work with agency users to operationalise the transfers of government records to NAS (e.g. provide training, troubleshoot problems, arrange logistics, address queries)
- Engage stakeholders across NLB and external stakeholders on collaborative projects relating to digital preservation
- At least 2-5 years of experience, preferably with background as business/system analyst, or user project manager in an IT application system development or maintenance project or IT application system support.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Proven experience in planning and managing projects
- Possess problem-solving skills and able to exercise sound independent judgement
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills e.g. able to convey and align the understanding requirements among the different stakeholders
- Good team-player
- Positive learning attitude and comfortable with taking on new challenges and dealing with uncertainty
- Has the curiosity and interest in leveraging IT and technology to improve user experience and work productivity
