Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Device Monitoring:

• Regularly check network devices for connectivity and performance.
• Monitor the health status of all network devices to ensure they are functioning correctly.

2. Backup Management:

• Perform regular backups of network configurations and critical data.
• Ensure backup processes are reliable and data can be restored efficiently.

3. Configuration Management:

• Implement and document configuration changes to network devices.
• Maintain accurate records of all configuration changes.

4. Firewall Rule Review:

• Regularly review and update firewall rules to ensure network security.
• Collaborate with the security team to address any vulnerabilities.

5. Network Device Hardening:

• Apply best practices to harden network devices against potential threats.
• Ensure all devices are configured securely and comply with company policies.

6. Patch Management:

• Apply patches and updates to network devices to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Keep track of patch levels and ensure all devices are up-to-date.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
• Experience with network automation tools and scripting.
