Procurement Assistant/ Purchasing Coordinator
Location: Established Floral & Hamper Company
Working Hours: Office hours, alternate Saturdays
Responsibilities:
Forecast, budget, and plan products for floral and hamper catalogs throughout the year.
Source and identify reliable suppliers based on price, quality, delivery lead time, and minimum order quantities.
Record and maintain supplier and product information in the ERP system.
Coordinate and follow up closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
Perform product costing, monitor project progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
Support marketing efforts by sourcing new products, obtaining quotations, and assisting with contract administration.
Assist in preparing and managing purchase orders and supplier relationships.
Conduct inventory checks, forecasting, purchasing, and receiving goods.
Identify potential improvements to existing products and processes.
Handle other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.
Strong attention to detail with a good eye for new products
Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Responsible, independent, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Positive work attitude and active participation in product costing and procurement.
