Key Responsibilities:

  • Payment Processing:

    • Process check payments for both customers and suppliers, ensuring all transactions are accurate and recorded in a timely manner.

  • Daily Statement Reconciliation:

    • Complete daily statements and perform reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records against bank statements.

  • Financial Record Keeping:

    • Maintain and update comprehensive records of all business transactions, including invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.

  • Account Reconciliation:

    • Regularly reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure that records are up to date.

  • Journal Entries:

    • Prepare, record, and post journal entries for various financial transactions.

  • Reporting:

    • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and summaries, offering insights into financial performance.

  • General Support:

    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and resolve any discrepancies as needed.

  • Compliance:

    • Ensure all bookkeeping practices adhere to relevant accounting standards and internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.

  • Proficiency in XERO software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
