- Formulate the key strategic initiatives & priorities for HSBC Life Singapore, based on customer needs and economic environment to help achieve business objectives.

This would entail building a high quality agency channel, strategies to deepen penetration within the HSBC Bank retail customer base, development of a HNW Target Operating Model and further strengthing our IFA and Broker relationships.
- Development and execution of strategic priorities
- Lead development and coordination of strategic initiatives including new business models, strategic partnerships etc. Ensure timely and effective completion of prioritised projects and initiatives.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop business/investment case for identified initiatives.
- Drive the end to end internal approval process.
- Ensure robust tracking and reporting of strategic and financial outcomes for key projects.
- Drive collaboration initiatives with other lines of businesses across HSBC.
- Lead staff engagement initiatives
- Lead the organisation of events and activities (townhalls, sports events, community service initiatives etc.) to enhance staff engagement.
- Support the CEO and HSBC Life Exco in driving the Culture Activation initiative for the business.
- Coordinate with EXCO members for people related initiatives.
- Governance and business performance management
- Ensure strong business management cadence across the business.
- Manage the CEO office and facilitate key governance forums including entity Board meetings, Executive Committee meetings and other Exco forums. Prepare high quality materials for these meetings.
- Drive the overall scorecard process for CEO and Exco.
- Drive the engagement with the regulator and Singapore Life Insurance Industry Association.
- Develop KPIs to track and monitor successful execution of strategy.
- Collaborate with other teams within Global Insurance and across other HSBC Singapore businesses to drive business outcomes.
- Customer Life Cycle Management and Data Analytics
- As a key member of the HSBC Life Singapore Executive Committee, ensure “voice of the customer” is presented and considered in key business decisions.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve penetration of insurance within existing customer base across our agency, bancassuarnce and IFA channels.
- Lead the data analytics team to deliver superior customer life cycle management and ensure data led decisioning within the business.
- Develop strategies and use cases to enhance customer acquisition, retention, relationship deepening and maturity/surrender recapture.
- Brand, Marketing and Communications:
- Build the HSBC Life Singapore brand both internally and externally, leveraging on the HSBC master brand whilst building on the local brand in Singapore.
- Lead all marketing initiatives as well as the design and delivery of all customer campaigns across the business, ensuring robust ROMI.
- Drive the internal and external communications agenda for the company, working closely with Global Insurance and HSBC Singapore Communications leads.
- Digital:
- Define the digital strategy for the business along with short, medium and long term execution milestones.
- Take the lead in building/upgrading the digital assets of HSBC Life Singapore including corporate website, customer app and point of sales applications.
- Lead the deployment of Health and Wellness platforms (retail and Employee Benefits) to drive strong customer acquisition and deeper engagement. Develop and execute the platform commercialization strategy.
- The roleholder will report to the CEO of HSBC Life Singapore.
- He/she will manage a team of c. 30-40 staff with 6-8 direct reports.
- Dynamic leader, with extensive leadership experience at the Executive level with a strong ability to innovate and find solutions.
- Ability to navigate a matrix organisation and operate with pace to deliver results in an integration / transformation environment.
- Progressive leadership and communication skills, ability to lead change, influence and actively drive performance.
- Solid understanding of the life and health insurance landscape in Asia. Deep knowledge of consumer-facing, insurance products and propositions, multi-channels, customer segmentation and management.
