About the Role
The Robert Burns Ellisland Trust (RBET) is seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Project Curator to support the Saving the Home of Auld Lang Syne project at Ellisland Museum and Farm. This role will play a crucial part in curating, researching, and interpreting Ellisland’s collections, interiors, and historic buildings, ensuring an immersive and engaging visitor experience.
Working closely with the Project Director, trustees, consultants, volunteers, and community partners, the Project Curator will lead research to guide the transformation of the farmhouse and farm buildings, oversee collections management, and contribute to interpretation planning. The role will also involve supporting fundraising efforts and promoting the project through public engagement activities.
This position is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Museum Galleries Scotland and represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of one of Scotland’s most important literary heritage sites.
