Role : Montessori Directress (ECDA LON L2)
- The Preschool Educator enhances the teaching practice including the nurturing of trusting and respectful relationships with children.
- Utilise in-depth knowledge of Early Childhood education, pedagogical and Montessori Methodology expertise to design and implement a developmentally and culturally appropriate curricula for children, as well as contributes to innovations in teaching and learning practices.
- As an experienced Early Childhood Educator, oversee the design and set up of secure and quality learning environment for children. Mentors the other educators in preparing the learning experiences and environment for the children in line with Centres’ philosophy and goals.
- Reporting to the Vice Principal on teaching matters, program development, and parental engagement, co-operatively working with all team members as well.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of teaching and learning approaches aligned with curricula frameworks and Montessori Methodology
- Advise on the outcomes from learning needs assessment and review children engagement strategies in accordance with the curriculum and pedagogical frameworks
- Lead implementation of appropriate health, safety, nutritional and hygiene standards and procedures
- Evaluate potential teaching and learning methods, tools, and assistive technology based on emerging trends in the sector
- Lead holiday programs, enrichment programs, field trips, concert event and celebrations.
- Render basic first aid as and when necessary and responsible for the upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have the followings:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education - Teaching
- Diploma and experience in Montessori Methodology
- Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching and management experience in a Montessori childcare/ preschool environment
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or any Pre-School related Diploma/ Certifications will have an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and classroom management skills
