Job Description

The Product and Customer Analytics Head (VP equivalent) for SG Consumer Banking will lead and develop a team focused on leveraging data to drive product innovation, customer engagement, and business growth. This role involves setting the analytics strategy, overseeing data insights and analytics initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional leaders to create a customer-centric product roadmap. The ideal candidate is a seasoned analytics professional with a strong background in data-driven strategy and a passion for improving business outcome and customer experiences. The person will report to the Decision Management SG Head.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Lead and guide the team to work on large amount and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend and support the implementation of consumer products’ business strategies.
  • Team Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of analysts and data scientists, fostering a high-performing analytics culture.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate and work closely with business units to understand, clarify and interpret business dashboards and data analytics for effective portfolio monitoring and prompt business problems solving.
    • Partner with product teams to identify new growth opportunities, devise solutions and continuously enhance data capabilities to support growth.
    • Partner with Business Finance team on product profitability and customer profitability models and analysis.
  • Data-Driven Insights:
    • Be proactive in any digitization and data-driven solutions to improve capabilities, processes and systems of the department.
    • Interpret data and present findings to stakeholders, making recommendations to enhance business outcome, customer experience and product impact.
  • Advanced Analytics:
    • Utilize statistical and predictive modelling to forecast product demand, customer behavior and identify opportunities for cross-sell/up-sell, optimize revenue and operations.
    • Determine reporting needs to be integrated with business intelligence visualization tools and manage reports distribution via content management tools.
    • Perform analytics and apply data science in the development and application of segmentation rules, automation, and process optimization to facilitate business decision making.
  • Campaigns:
    • Lead the Campaign and Leads Management team for campaign tasks planning, data execution, performance tracking and leads base management for Consumer Banking business. Meet the needs of business teams in turn-around-time, data quality and advanced analytics during implementing marketing campaign strategies.
    • Lead to apply statistical models, machine learning and AI techniques for automation of wide range of campaign operations aiming at optimized revenue and cost of campaign initiatives. Conduct A/B testing, customer segmentation, and cohort analysis to optimize product features and customer journeys.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership, effectively communicating complex data insights into clear, impactful strategies.
  • Innovation and Best Practices:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the banking and wealth management sectors to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
The Following Are Key Responsibilities Based On Function/ Engagement

  • Enhance Shareholders’ Value (Financial)
    • Provide support on managing analytics requirements on Consumer Banking portfolio, ensuring processes run optimally and in an automated fashion.
  • Internal Business Process
    • Evaluate stakeholders’ needs and create plan of action to provide solutions.
    • Provide stewardship and custodianship on the regular tasks, dashboards, jobs, and deliverables for the Deposits, Wealth and Segments portfolio, creating, updating and automating tasks and enhancing outputs and DataMart.
    • Develop and review marketing, campaign and strategy models to implement managed business growth in line with the direction of the business.
    • Establish, monitor and manage end-to-end portfolio, business management and business strategy activities through the application of Analytics, Decision Management Infrastructure and Business Intelligence.
    • Engage, collaborate, and work with appropriate business enablers including, but not limited to, IT, RPA, Platform Efficiency and Operation and Service excellence to further understand and establish the business processes and systems to further drive automation and optimization.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics or related field; Master’s degree or Master/PhD preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product or customer analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with Consumer Banking products including Deposits, Wealth Management, Loan, Card and Customer Segmentation concepts and practices
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of statistical modelling, A/B testing, customer segmentation, and lifecycle analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry compliance standards in the banking sector is preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience translating data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Self-driven with strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in data analytics and decision science domain.
  • Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of the banking industry, especially in Consumer Business area, covering Deposits, Wealth Management, Card, Loan and Customer Segments.
