General Manager of Marketing (ASEAN)
Sekisui Singapore Pte Ld (SSP) is part of the global network of Sekisui Chemical Co Ltd. We supply a wide range of piping materials, including water supply/drainage and air conditioning pipes for residences and buildings, high performance pipes for plants, and other pipes for water supply/sewerage in the public sector, for agricultural water, and for electricity and gas supply systems.
To enhance our presence in the Asia Pacific region, our sales office in Singapore is currently expanding. To facilitate this growth we are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven General Manager for Marketing (Asean) to direct and manage the marketing activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs. The candidate must be able to effectively manage sales personnel, have a strong knowledge of the market, and an in-depth understanding of the BU’s financial data as well as strong customer relations skills.
The ideal candidates will have the following responsibilities:
• Accountable for Business Unit delivery- Commercial, Operations, People and Data Insights
• Ensure overall operation execution is up to client’s standards
• Establish, foster and drive strong partnerships with distributors to enhance and promote brand engagement and drive overall sell-through for the region.
• Collaborate with partners to develop and drive strategic initiatives in the region to take advantage of key growth opportunities.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve performance
• Effective client engagement and management
• Actively build, maintain and grow strong relationships with client and relevant departments, customer and internal stakeholders
• Work to align our Divisions and client objectives with business plans
• Monthly meetings to update client, review plans and optimize processes
• Manage effective flow of information
• Negotiate and manage transition of operational changes
• Develop and implement measures to address problems / gaps and the resolution of issues
• Ensure continual focus on improved delivery / client relationships and optimization of service offering
• Effective People Management
The ideal candidate shall have the following attributes:
You will ideally have at least 10-15 years proven experience in sales of piping systems, exceptional communication skills in English and Japanese (both written and oral) and are able to handle standard processing software. Other beneficial skills for this position will be:
• Detail Orientated
• Results driven and driving success
• Good analytical skills
• Commercial Acumen
• Networking and influencing skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Possess a sense of resilience and innovative thinking
• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Engineering or equivalent
• Sales operations experience gained in industrial pipping channel will be advantageous
