Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Prof. Sun Rongfeng in probability theory, discrete probability, combinatorics and random permutations.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
(i) To perform excellent research with Prof. Sun Rongfeng and his team of students and research fellows, leading to publications in top venues on probability
(ii) To teach one class in the Mathematics department per semester.
Qualifications / Discipline:
- Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics or Computer Science
Skills:
- Computational Mathematics with a focus on numerical methods for partial differential equations
Experience:
- 4 years of doing research on strain gradient elasticity problem, numerical homogenization of singular perturbations in elasticity and performed numerical analysis for heterogeneous multiscale methods.
