Legal Counsel (3-5 PQE) | Technology
We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Legal Counsel to join our client, a leading Software company with a strong global presence. In this role, you will draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of technology contracts, providing comprehensive commercial legal support across the business. Additionally, you will manage daily legal operations and collaborate with external counsel on dispute claims and litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including Subscription Agreements, Medium and Long-Term Service Agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSA), and other commercial contracts.
- Advise on a broad spectrum of commercial legal issues, including contract law, corporate governance, intellectual property, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Handle dispute claims and manage litigation matters to resolve legal conflicts efficiently.
- Work closely with business teams to provide timely, effective legal advice on commercial and operational matters.
- Manage day-to-day legal operations, ensuring that the company’s activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for legal matters, collaborating with senior executives to provide strategic advice on business matters.
- Oversee legal risk management, supporting the development of processes to mitigate legal risks across the business.
- Maintain an awareness of emerging legal trends and proactively address issues that may affect the business.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Qualified to the Singapore Bar, with 3-5 years of PQE ideally with some in-house legal experience from a relevant industry.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of technology and commercial contracts.
- Experience in managing dispute claims and litigation matters.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working closely with senior management and interacting with C-suite executives.
- Ideally, prior in-house experience, with a good understanding of legal operations and the business’s needs.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide practical and business-oriented legal solutions.
