The opportunity

To facilitate their ambitious growth in the region, our client is seeking a high-caliber Senior Finance Manager / Financial Controller. This dynamic and strategic role is crucial for supporting senior management by delivering insightful financial data and crafting impactful business recommendations.

The incumbent will be instrumental in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making. This role demands a blend of analytical prowess and strategic foresight to identify growth opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and enhance financial reporting and planning processes.

About the role

  • Oversee monthly business and financial performance, identifying opportunities and areas for improvement to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all financial regulations and standards, safeguarding the integrity and transparency of financial reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to provide comprehensive financial data and strategic recommendations that align with business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership and all business units to prepare and analyse financial plans, budgets, and track results to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Conduct market analysis and research, staying abreast of the latest market trends and information to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities.
  • Assist senior leadership in evaluating the feasibility of new business opportunities, providing critical financial insights and risk assessments to inform decision-making.
  • Prepare insightful data for corporate presentations during key meetings, aiding senior management in making informed business decisions.
  • Support the management leader in overseeing all fundamental financial reporting and FP&A activities

Successful Applicant

  • Obtain a Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Have at least 5 - 8 years of relevant experience within the FMCG/ Manufacturing industry, demonstrating strong business acumen.
  • Prior experience in a big 4 accounting firm with strong technical skills and understanding of various reporting standards, including the latest IFRS, will be prioritised.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Showcase proficiency in working with financial analysis tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Excel in both verbal and written communication, with an emphasis on exceptional presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate proactive and self-reliant characteristics, coupled with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
