About the role

As an Events Intern at The Great Room (“TGR”), you will be responsible for providing support in the coordination of regular events and executing marketing projects for existing TGR members.

A successful Events Intern will be responsible for ensuring that campaigns and projects are executed in a timely manner.

The Events Intern will report to the Events Manager and will work closely with the location teams across our locations.

What you’ll do

Events

  • Respond promptly to external event enquiries
  • Liaise with external vendors for event supplies
  • Assist in handling all event logistics to ensure smooth operations before and during the event
  • Follow up with customer surveys and ensure that invoices and payment are issued and received
  • Assist with executing TGR’s exciting monthly social events

Who you are

Requirements

  • Minimum of Nitec in Marketing, Nitec in Events Management or the equivalent
  • Interested candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Qualities

  • Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work with a team that is spread across locations
  • Have strong organisational and planning skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; confident interacting with vendors, speakers and cross-company teams at all different levels of seniority
  • Enjoy working with numerous people across cultures day-to-day
  • Able to be versatile in learning and have a desire to remain up-to-date with changes in technology
  • Self-starter with a good attitude towards learning
