Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Business Analyst to lead and support the development of front-office capabilities, IT solutions, and business process enhancements within the investment and banking sector. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, deep understanding of investment applications, and expertise in data analysis, ETL, SQL, and APIs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies, stakeholder management, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology & Product Management: Develop and support front-office capabilities, including deal sourcing, portfolio monitoring, and divestment.
- OKRs & Strategic Alignment: Develop, implement, and manage Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to ensure alignment with company goals and measure progress effectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Discovery: Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather business requirements, identify challenges, and propose innovative IT solutions.
- Requirement Gathering & Documentation: Document Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), use cases in Gherkin format, visual models, and process workflows.
- Data Analysis & Model Development: Conduct data analysis, pattern recognition, and model development to improve business processes and decision-making.
- Presentation & Communication: Present IT solutions to business and IT stakeholders, clearly articulating their benefits, risks, and implementation strategies.
- Collaboration & Agile Leadership: Coordinate across Front, Middle, and Back Office teams, extended Technology teams, and industry partners. Lead Agile practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Project Monitoring & Risk Management: Track project progress, identify risks and issues, and escalate or take corrective actions to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 8-10 years in technology business analysis or software development with a focus on investment or banking applications.
- IT Project Management: Experience in overseeing complex IT projects, system integrations, and data migrations.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Expertise in ETL processes, SQL, APIs, and data analysis.
- Financial Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of investment business processes, financial applications, and workflows.
- Agile & Product Management: Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, backlog prioritization, and feature roadmap development.
- UI/UX & Software Best Practices: Good knowledge of database design, UI/UX principles, and software engineering best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in documenting use cases in Gherkin format.
- Hands-on experience with SQL-based data analysis and model development.
- Understanding of investment domain-specific tools and platforms.
