Management Trainee Program

Overview

• The NBA Asia Associate Program is a comprehensive and dynamic development initiative designed to cultivate exceptional recent graduates for leadership roles within NBA Asia.
• This two-year program immerses participants in the NBA’s culture, structure, and operations, equipping them with the essential skills and expertise to thrive in the fast-paced sports and entertainment industry. Upon successful completion, participants will transition into designated full-time roles within the organization.
• Associates will be based in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, or Singapore, contributing to key departments that align with the NBA’s strategic priorities and regional objectives. This immersive experience provides a deep understanding of the NBA’s global influence and regional impact, preparing participants to play pivotal roles in driving its success.

What you will do

• Learn the business of sports and gaming through hands-on exposure and launch your career in one of the world’s most respected sports organizations.
• Join key departments such as marketing, partnerships, media distribution, content production, digital innovation, gaming, operations, and other strategic areas, contributing to high-priority projects.
• Support and drive initiatives that are critical to NBA Asia’s growth, innovation, and global business objectives.

• Throughout the year, Associates receive additional training to grow high-value professional skills such as relationship building, business writing and presentation skills.
• Associates complete several self-assessments and receive ongoing coaching that identifies strengths and areas for development.
• Associates’ exposure to the business of basketball includes attendance at a variety of NBA events, NBA Care activities, participation in our business review process, global experiences, and participation in discussion forums with executives from various departments.

What you will need

• To qualify for the Associate Program, students must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program and anticipate graduation in 2025 or within one year for recent graduates. Candidates must be in excellent academic standing and have strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese. Additionally, candidates should possess demonstrable leadership skills through relevant extracurricular activities, along with meaningful, business-related internships or other experiences:
• Fresh Graduate in 2025 or within one year for recent graduates.
• Major in Sports Management, Business, Artificial Intelligence, or Game Design is preferred.
• Clear aspiration to become a business leader of tomorrow.
• Possess strong analytical thinking Deeply curious to learn new things.
• Open to learning from experience and feedback.
• Have the energy, passion, and perseverance to obtain the best results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
