EHS Assistant Manager (Construction/ A&A | Data Centre | WSHO)

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage construction, A&A, and customer fitout projects to ensure adherence to company Group Minimum Standards (GMS), EHS requirements, statutory obligations, regulatory codes, and applicable laws throughout each project's lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the contractor's site management team to implement the Project Safety Management System for construction and A&A projects.
  • Conduct bi-annual compliance audits, prepare audit reports, and follow up on findings with relevant stakeholders until closure.
  • Attend daily project coordination meetings led by the Contractor Project Manager to address and resolve safety concerns for scheduled activities.
  • Compile and prepare monthly safety reports, including key EHS metrics such as manhours worked, safety compliance status, and leading/lagging indicators.
  • Work closely with the internal and external stakeholder to ensure safe and compliant execution of work activities.
  • Review and provide feedback on high-risk work processes and safety documents, including risk assessments, safe work procedures, worker competencies, and equipment licenses.
  • Supervise high-risk work execution, which may include weekend or after-office hours oversight.
  • Oversee and ensure proper reporting and investigation of safety incidents or near misses in compliance with company's Incident Management standards.
  • Review injury/incident reports for completeness and assist in onsite investigations for serious incidents or dangerous occurrences at short notice.
  • Conduct regular EHS assurance walkdowns, task observations, and inspections, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions until closure.
  • Attend and contribute to project and operational data centre EHS meetings, preparing meeting minutes as required by the Country EHS Manager.
  • Assist in ISO 45001 / BizSafe audits and certifications.
  • Develop and execute EHS programs, procedures, and awareness activities for Singapore data centres.
  • Support any additional EHS initiatives, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by the Country EHS Manager for both projects and operational data centres.
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering or related fields.
  • Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
  • Must have minimum 8 years of EHS management experience in Construction / A&A type of works (post WSHO registration), with at least 2 years of experience in managing EHS in operations.
  • Good with DC/ Facility Management/ Manufacturing related EHS experience.
