About KidSTART Department:

KidSTART provides upstream support to children from low-income families in the areas of early childhood development, health, and social support. As a KidSTART Practitioner, you will actively engage families and work closely with social / community partners and government agencies. Through home visits, you will support parents through delivery of a range of child development strategies, assess, and monitor their children’s health and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to maintaining updated information of KidSTART families in SSNet and internal systems;
  • Support intake assessment of referrals;
  • Support case workers in information gathering and conduct assessments on children’s developmental needs;
  • Assist case workers to develop holistic child-centric case plans for each child and provide monitoring and follow up to address any barriers until child graduates from programme;
  • Support case workers in engaging children and parents with knowledge and skills on meeting child’s developmental needs;
  • Provide last mile delivery of support to families.

Requirements:

  • Possess minimum Diploma in Social Work
  • 2-3 years’ experience in social service, working with families or early childhood education sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organised, meticulous and adaptable to changes.
  • Able to work at least two evenings per week.
  • This position is on contract basis
  • Full time or part time welcomed
