Project Manager

Our Project Management organisation enables sophisticated product development or technology projects to be implemented efficiently and in compliance with product requirements with budget and timeline-constraints.
Senior project managers are leaders and skilled problem solvers. They are accountable for the success of an initiative, often coordinating efforts across departments and managing cross-functional teams. They are used to reporting progress to business stakeholders as well as inspiring team members to see the big picture and push toward their shared goals.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project management of product development and life-cycle management projects with the support of experienced principal project managers as coach and mentor. For example, products involved are total stations, digital levels or GNSS surveying systems and related smart accessories (including batteries).
- Ensure Hexagon Innovation Process (HIP) is applied appropriately to the relevant projects.
- Ensure all stakeholders and project resources, including external partners (e.g. technology providers, subject matter consultants and suppliers) are in place, fully briefed regularly and managed through timely decision-making process.
- Create requirements, budgets, project planning and related action plans. This includes planning and managing project meetings, risk mitigation, facilitating project activities, controlling requirements and monitoring costs.
- Must be able to build strong relationships and communicate directly within cross-functional teams and with stakeholders, act proactively and with foresight with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent meeting, workshop and conference facilitation skills with proven knowledge of how to foster attendee participation and collaboration in small and large groups.
- Willing to mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
PREREQUISITES:
- Engineering education/studies in Electronics or Mechanics (B.Science and/or M.Science).
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability and effective delivery of products or services.
- Good written and conversational skills in English and Chinese are a must as he/she will need to liaise with Chinese suppliers.
- Leadership abilities with excellent conflict management skills.
- PMI or PMP certification or similar from an accredited organization is a plus.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and related tools (Microsoft Teams). User knowledge of Miro is a plus.
- Willing to travel for occasional overseas business trips.
