As we continue to scale, we seek an Accounts Payable Specialist (AP specialist) to join our HQ in Singapore. This role will play a pivotal part in establishing a robust accounts payable function to drive breakthrough operational efficiencies.
Position Overview:
The AP specialist will play a critical role in the operations of a strong AP function across the region. This role supports the AP Lead in the daily operations of the payables function and other ad-hoc assignments as required. The role is also critical in ensuring the timely and accurate payment of invoices and maintaining good relationships with vendors. This is a regional role, and will need close coordination with the operational businesses, regional tax & treasury, and local banks across the regions.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
Daily operations: Process and verify supplier invoices, prepare and process payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end closing and financial reporting.
Vendor maintenance: Maintain vendor records, perform vendor verification and handle queries related to payments.
Account monitoring: Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date, reconcile monthly statements and liaise with vendors for discrepancies
Internal stakeholder management: Support the AP Lead in communication with internal departments to handle queries and resolve any discrepancies.
Business maturity and best practices: Maintain documented AP best practices, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements
Projects: Participate in continuous business maturity projects alongside other members in the finance team and wider organisation through business operational improvements and/or technological solutions to increase efficiency
Requirements:
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role
- Prior experience with Oracle Fusion advantageous
- Driven, passionate about learning and developing new skills
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional attitude, high degree of professionalism and discretion
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Desire and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
