Legal Consultant (Part-Time)
As a member of our family-owned business, you will review and advise in matters relating to regulations, contracts and agreements with a critical perspective in terms of commercial materiality, compliance and legal requirements required by the business. You will also work closely with external legal providers and other stakeholders to transform our Travel Retail business into a Market Leader. As a Legal Consultant, you will:
- support and take the lead in negotiating, preparing and reviewing of various legal documents, complex contracts, commercial agreements, procurement agreements, employment-law/social security-related agreements, service agreements, tenancy agreements, and investments-related agreements.
- provide proactive legal advice to achieve business and strategic objectives while fully and appropriately managing legal risks and leveraging on the candidate’s legal expertise.
- ensure contracts and agreements are compliant with legal and statutory requirements and is aligned with Heinemann’s guidelines and over all objectives.
- develop policies, processes, regulatory and compliance frameworks to elevate the internal ways of working to international best practices while also supporting the education and learning of various stakeholders, where needed.
- assist in corporate governance matters, including corporate filings, internal board meetings, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- update the business of any legal and regulatory developments impacting Heinemann’s business and the Travel Retail industry, in general.
What you should bring along
- a Degree in Law or Business with strong understanding of Travel Retail and Aviation regulations, with at least three to five years of experience in Retail or FMCG environment
- a strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance and experience in tenancy agreements within Asia Pacific.
- strong communication, decision making and stakeholder management skills with the proven ability to build and sustain relationships.
- a meticulous, detail-oriented and analytical approach in delivering results while also taking initiative and certain decisions independently.
- a self-motivated and positive team player with the ability to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- a pronounced can-do attitude, complemented by the capability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
