Senior Consultant, Solutions Design, APAC

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in specific solutions design and sector-specific skills/tools, particularly in the Technology Sector, VMI, I2M, and Simulation for the APAC region.
• Lead/support the SD workstream in pursuing new business and renewing existing ones.
• Develop solutions and provide analytical support for implementation/re-engineering of key strategic projects and communicate objectives to the team.
• Independently manage solution design resources for business growth and improvement, and budget.
• Establish optimal costing and commercialization for new and existing business.
• Lead and coach the team in resource calculation, costing tools, and compliance with the DHL Supply Chain Solution Design process.
• Collaborate closely with the operations team on project implementation.
• Set clear priorities and focus on efforts that add significant value.
• Work closely with the business development (BD) and sector teams on proposing solution design needs.
• Ensure proposed solutions maintain the highest levels of operational safety.
• Champion assigned practice/solution SME by building depth through research, application, team development, training, and engagement in relevant projects.
• Outline solutions and commercial proposals for presentation to internal stakeholders and customers and participate in customer presentations as required.
• Maintain effective communication across the business.
• Actively seek to understand and apply innovations in facilities, fleet, technology, or safety to solutions.
• Promote a culture of corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
• Ensure quality of Concept of Operations documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

• Identify needs and opportunities through local management interactions.

Skillset

• Project management and planning skills.
• Full understanding of all Solutions Design tools, techniques and procedures
• Warehouse, transport and supply chain operational knowledge at a detailed level.
• Exposure to modeling of complex warehousing or domestic transport network, logistics / transport operations, etc.
• Experience in at least one modeling / simulation tool
• Proficient in Microsoft excel to perform complex data analysis

Requirements

• Min. Degree or Masters in relevant discipline
• 3 to 5 years with relevant experience in solutions design management / Up to 7 years of relevant experience in logistic/transport industry.
