Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring network devices, managing configurations, ensuring security compliance, and maintaining the overall health of network infrastructure.

Mandatory Skill-set

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science;
  • Minimum 6 year of experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios;
  • Strong knowledge of Checkpoint firewall rule management, security policies, and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS);
  • Proficiency in backup management, configuration control, and change management for network CISCO devices;
  • Hands-on experience with patching, firmware upgrades, and mitigating network vulnerabilities;
  • Experience in configuring Load Balancer, DNS and Proxy;
  • Expertise in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF and EIGRP;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Good understanding of Telecommunications infrastructures and equipment;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skill-set

  • Certification in CCNA, CCNP, CCIE.

Responsibilities

Part of the Infrastructure Maintenace and Support team to:

  • Monitor network devices for connectivity, performance, and overall health status;
  • Perform regular backups of network configurations and ensure reliable data restoration;
  • Review and update firewall rules to enhance network security and compliance;
  • Manage patching and firmware updates to protect against vulnerabilities;
  • Implement and document configuration changes while maintaining accurate records;
  • Apply best practices to harden network devices and mitigate potential threats;
  • Collaborate with security and IT teams to resolve network issues and improve performance.
